Creating an American Icon for the Olympics
This project explores a conceptual logo system for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, rooted in the city’s identity and design legacy.
Drawing inspiration from LA’s iconic 1980s Olympic branding, the mark leans into bold geometry and recognizable symbolism to create something that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking.
The Complete Vision
The logo is built around the shape of a star, referencing achievement, motion, and LA’s cultural spotlight.
The US Bank Tower is reimagined as the Olympic torch, anchoring the mark in the city’s iconic skyline while symbolizing unity and progress.
An angel form is subtly integrated into the structure, nodding to Los Angeles as the “City of Angels” and reinforcing the idea of the city as a global host welcoming the world.

Together, these elements create a mark that balances history, place, and meaning.
